Job Purpose

JUMO is looking for a talented EDW engineer. We are in the quest for someone who can take a complex problem and create a simple solution for it. This is a specialized role, ideally suited to someone who is able to hit the ground running with regards to the technical development of JUMO’s data warehouse.
About our data warehouse : Enterprise Level, Cloud based system (near real time) which houses 15 Billion+ rows of data. Multi technology stack implementation using MS product suite and open source tools (Python & Redshift).

Key Responsibilities

• Needs SSIS experience
• Creates bespoke packages that can connect to multiple sources and destinations
• Needs to adhere to implemented design patterns and internal governance standards
• Understand creating bat files, powershell scripts and BCP
• Understands how to ingest and output XML, csv, Json and other flat file types

Write SQL code

• Produce well formatted code according to standard
• Understand the differences between the join types
• Understand what sargable queries are
• Knowledge of how to troubleshoot code
• Understand how to do data validations and cleansing with SQL
• Review and test work
• Analytical in nature
• Experience in data QA’s
• Programming Experience
• Practical experience in C# and or Python

Requirements (Qualifications)

National Diploma or Degree in a Computer Science or related field

Experience (Essential):

Must have experience in MS SQL Stack – SSIS / SSAS / SSRS
SQL 2005 / SQL 2012 / SQL 2014
