Requirements

The successful candidate will be exposed to and develop on both customer facing and internal tech – this would include:

• Carter’s mobile web application,
• Carter’s desktop web application,
• Android and iOS apps,
• the Carter CRM system,
• Carter’s dealer portal and
• the services and databases that underpin these.

We require an experienced and highly analytical individual with an eagerness to learn and grow with the team. The Full Stack Developer will have the responsibility to:

• Project Management of your development projects and / or the platforms that you are the Product Owner of
• Compile business specifications in collaboration with Senior Management, the development team, operations and other stakeholders
• Compile the necessary technical specifications, wire-frames, application maps and other preparation documentation to ensure solid definition of requirements and alignment before development commences
• Manage and perform development in CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, MS SQL (PHP and .Net are nice-to-haves)
• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Fully document the code base
• Adhere to and continually develop code and change management processes and protocols

Candidate Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science / Information Systems, B.Com Informatics, B-Tech or related IT Qualification
• A minimum of 5 years full stack experience is a minimum requirement
• Proven, demonstrable delivery of large, complex full stack development projects – both customer facing, and backend
• Strong analytical problem solving intrinsics with good ability to solve both technical and business problems – candidates will be rigorously case interviewed for the role
• Experience in, and working knowledge of, development management frameworks such as Agile and Scrum

Due to the wide spectrum of skills and experience in SA, all shortlisted candidates will be required to:

complete a development skills test to demonstrate the coding acumen and technical problem solving capabilities, and
a business case interview to test analytical capabilities and business acumen
