Job description.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop applications using Native development regimes for Android and/or iOS.
• Assist in standardising the development platform to enable code reuse across applications.
• Collaborate, and communicate effectively with business stakeholders, design, QA and Backend team members.
• Analyse, diagnose and resolve errors related to developed applications.
• Debugging Android and/or iOS applications (leaks, CPU time, memory, power, graphical rendering).
• Optimising performance of mobile applications.
• Handling errors.
• Supporting mobile applications already deployed to app stores.
• Constantly seek new innovative solutions and approaches to business and client requirements.
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technology space.

EXPERIENCE

2 - 3 years development experience using the Swift and/or Java languages to develop applications across relevant mobile devices.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

• Experience in writing PHP, SOAP and REST web services
• Understanding of UI and UX principles
• Xamarin, React, Cordova, Kotlin experience
• Full stack development

QUALIFICATION

Tertiary qualification in Software Development or related field (BSc Computer Science, Diploma: Info Tech or equivalent)
