    Receptionist

    Job description

    To receive walk-in and telephonic clients while maintaining a professional, efficient and personal first impression to all Indwe stakeholders.

    Minimum Requirements
    Education

    • Matric
    • Certificate in Office Administration an advantage

    Experience

    • 5 years’ experience as a receptionist in a professional establishment.

    Key Performance Area

    • Answer calls promptly and professionally
    • Accurately direct calls once answered
    • Ensure message is taken if receiver of call is unavailable
    • Forward accurate message promptly to the correct person
    • Walk-in clients - make the correct referrals
    • Offer refreshments if required
    • Test lines/switchboard daily
    • Attend to Switchboard / Telkom breakdown problems
    • Ensure tidiness as well as user friendly and welcoming reception environment
    • Ensure that the reception area is neat, presentable and comfortable
    • Ensure that there is reading material (magazines/ newspaper)
    • Assist with administrative duties
    • Prepare, record and dispatch mail daily
    • Assist with scanning of documentation
    • Bank any cheques received immediately – forward proof to Finance Department
    • Pay all outstanding accounts timeously/accurately.
    • Control and reimburse petty cash 
    • Assist staff promptly with any computer/network problems and queries
    • Order and control stationery, promotional items and groceries
    • Professionally type documents as and when requested
    • Assist with claims duties
    • Perform ad hoc tasks as and when required
