Project Engineer/Engineering Manager Reference: 2017/004

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of B.Eng qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Project management qualification will be an advantage.
• Engineers with 4 - 8 years’ experience, preferably with multi-discipline project or engineering exposure in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industry.
• Experience working/contracting with Sasol will be an advantage.
• Experience in typical contracting formats (NEC 3, FIDIC, GCC etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibility of managing multi-disciplinary projects assigned to him for the full life cycle of the project, which could include Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.
• Compile Quotations and Tenders for prospective work.
• Develop project execution plans in line with contract requirements.
• Develop and review overall Quality management/Control plans for projects.
• Manage cash flow and project budget.
• Identify and appoint all resources (including sub-contracted services) for each project.
• Ensure coordination of all resources and functions to meet contract obligations.
• Project Schedule Management.
• Project Risk Management.
• Project Quality and Safety Management during execution.
• Follow Business Management System.
• The effective use of MS Projects and other software systems which may be required.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients.
