IT Infrastructure Manager at Intelligent Debt Management

Job description

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain network hardware and software including servers; voice; peripherals; PCs; firewalls; switches and cabling
• Manage day to day and month on month IT operational duties
• Manage outsourced service desk in line with SLAs and customer service delivery
• Review outsourced service desk for possible insourcing
• Manage critical outages with the relevant 3rd parties and business and provide root cause analysis and possible future preventative actions
• Increase IT uptime on core systems
• Work with application manager to plan and implement changes so as not to disrupt the business
• Update and maintain asset register
• Review assets that are nearing end of life and plan for infrastructure changes (desktop virtualization; hybrid cloud etc.)
• Manage IT budget and forecast IT expenses for Opex vs Capex
• Review; update; manage and execute DR plan
• Review IT policy and update in accordance with security gaps and needs
• Develop and implement IT governance framework in line with best practice (ITIL/ COBIT)
• Contribute to the development of IT operational strategies to align with overall business strategy

Key requirements and qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years IT management experience
• An understanding of IT governance methodologies (ITIL/ COBIT)
• Deep understanding of MS software
• Deep understanding of LAN/ WAN infrastructure
• Knowledge of Hypervisor software environments (Hyper-V and VMWare)
• MS certification will be advantageous
• Cloud experience will be advantageous
