OBJECTIVE:

To facilitate divisional business development by marketing the division’s services to potential clients and to supervise and coach staff to ensure quality execution of complex divisional projects.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

Scope

• Contribute to divisional new business development initiatives through direct marketing of divisional services as well as client interaction.

Plan

• Manage client expectations on large projects through direct interaction with clients or their consultants i.e. assume risk on behalf of Mintek.

Resource

• Synergise interrelated operational processes for problem solving and management and predict the outcome of recommended solutions to problems and mitigate the anticipated risks from workflows for provision of efficiency and quality to client needs.
• Co-ordinate resources on a daily basis according to the project schedule by designing process flow models and manage the section through planning, scheduling, supervision and/or co-ordination of processes to achieve efficiency and quality goals.
• Synergise interrelated operational processes for problem solving and management and predict the outcome of recommended solutions to problems and mitigate the anticipated risks from workflows for provision of efficiency and quality to client needs.

Supervise

• Provide direct supervision of staff, manage performance and solve complex problems under the Head’s supervision by coaching subordinates on work activities based on understanding how employee’s work contributions impacts on the results of the business.

Coach

• Liaise with client representatives and Head of the Section and Consultants to ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
• Maintain and build out operational capacity by developing the staff reporting to the position through coaching, mentoring and formal training.
• Maintain a motivated team for optimum productivity.
• Maintain safe working environment
• Ensure a safe environment for staff to work through the application of health safety and environment regulations.

Assure Quality Work

• Ensure the execution of quality work by adhering to the quality management programs in Mintek.

Report

• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and recommending actions.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• 6 years’ post qualification experience
• 2 years’ supervisory experience would be advantageous

GRADE: MP1 SALARY PACKAGE: R531 026.00 CTC per annum negotiable
