    Video Conferencing Manager

    Job description

    The Manager of Media Services and Video Production provides oversight of the Video Conferencing environment and multiple vendors to deliver a service centric, collaborative Video Conferencing capability for the group. The Manager will be responsible for the end to end video conferencing service and collaboration upkeep and strategy for ITISS (IT Infrastructure Shared Services). The Manager of Media Services and Video Production will make a large contribution to several key ITISS strategic areas including, but not limited to, the following: continual service improvement programs, maintaining, and improving ongoing quality for all Video services, automation & self service capabilities, end user training, skills upliftment, design approvals, quality control of all testing and labdev work (automation) done within this service. They will report to the Head End User & Collaboration Solutions.

    The manager will have responsibilities in 3 broad areas including Strategy & Planning, Operational Management and Communications. We will expect the incumbant to have the following:

    Qualifications:

    • Formal Education & Certification
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • 5+ years of related experience required.
    • Prior supervisory experience required.
    • Additional Qualifications-Experience in A/V industry utilizing complex audio systems, diverse multimedia technologies, computer-based systems, and videoconferencing preferred.
    • Working knowledge of audio and video signal flow, mixers, amplifiers, microphones, cameras, etc. preferred.
    • Experience working with AV integration vendors on large projects preferred.
    • Experience executing on complex and high-profile events preferred.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing preferred.
    • Strong customer service skills and ability to lead a customer service-oriented team preferred.
    • Strong project management and time management skills preferred.
    • Experience mentoring others preferred.

    Certification Requirements

    • PCVE certified advantageous
    • Practitioner or Service Manager Level ITIL Certification preferred.
    • Six Sigma
    • Cobit
    • Microsoft Collaboration certifications advantageous

    Knowledge & Experience:

    • Good people management skills
    • Strong Microsoft and VC experience and product knowledge
    • Background in IT Services with an emphasis on collaboration and VC.
    • Familiarity with ITIL practices for IT service management.
    • Some experience in project management environment is an asset.
    • Strong understanding of business processes
    • Good networking knowledge and background
