    MANAGER-CORPORATE STRATEGY, DEVELOPMENT FINANCE

    Job description

    Opportunity to shape/influence DFI strategy and in so doing impact development issues on the continent. Strategic planning together with Financial and Annual Reporting are key components of this role, as well as Team Management and Executive Stakeholder Engagement.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY

    • Develop the DFI strategy, corporate and execution plan in line with the organisational vision and goals
    • Develop key strategy initiatives in conjunction with all Divisions
    • Decide on additional service delivery mandates to be executed by DFI
    • Facilitate and filter request for additional activities from Government
    • Facilitate the identification on new growth areas for DFI
    • Facilitate the strategies and performance planning at corporate level, and managing the monitoring, assessment and evaluation of strategy implementation
    • Facilitate the development, refinement and updating of the corporate balanced scorecard (Shot and long term)
    • Track, monitor and report on corporate performance to the CEO, Executive Committee and Board
    • Engage with Government and other officials, in particular, National Treasury in relation to the strategy function
    • Develop corporate plan for DFI including forecasts and focus area for financing and infrastructure delivery teams


    QUALIFICTIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • A post graduate qualification, preferably MBA OR MBL with strong Corporate Strategy & Execution expertise
    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience of the above job function at a Management Level as well as the ability to manage a team of a high level of professionals
    • Experience in a banking and /or financial sectors
    • Experience in strategy formulation and execution
    • Experience in driving and embedding change in an organisation
    • Deep Strategic expertise
    • Ability to drive and implement corporate initiatives
