Job description

Applications are invited for the vacant position of IT tester within the ITC Department at RMA.

Core purpose of the Job:

To develop and document test cases, test systems and log all defects identified

Minimum Requirements and Experience:

• Relevant Industry Certificate/Degree/Diploma in Information Technology (minimum NQF Level 5)
• At least 2 years of developing system test cases working experience
• At least 2 years of system testing working experience
• Thorough understanding of system testing methodologies
• Good working knowledge and understanding of computer systems and technologies
• Ability to interface with users, IT Developers, management and external IT Services providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Main Functions and Responsibilities:
• Develop Test Plans
• Conduct testing of systems according to test plans
• Log defect on defect tracking system, assigning the relevant severity and priority
• Monitor the progress of defects.
• Retest defects corrected.
• Develop relevant application training programs for users.
• Conduct application training for users.
• Assist IT Developers with the understanding of the systems where required.
• Assist with the analysis and functional specification of the systems.
• To train support users on the use of application systems
• To assist training in develop training material for application system training
• To assist and guide users in the test of systems
