Engineering Specialist at Distell

Job Description

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an Engineering Specialist at our Distell Springs site, JHB. The key purpose of this position is to deliver utilities to site OTIF as well as maintain plant, equipment and facilities with budget.This position reports to the Ready-to-Drinks (RTD) Manager.

Key Performance Areas Include, But Not Limited To

• Control Total Cost of Maintenance
•  Maintain L&M within budget
•  Maintain Total Maintenance cost (c/l) within budget
•  Site specific water consumption within target
•  Site specific electricity consumption within target
• Plant and Equipment uptime
•  Brewing plant uptime
•  Utilities plant uptime
•  Adherence to PM plans (Brewing, Utilities and Facilities)
•  Spares availability for critical equipment
• Capacity Building
•  Employee engagement
•  Employee development
•  Performance Management
•  Team work attendance
• Implement business improvement initiatives
•  Number of innovations implemented
•  Cost reduction resulting from business initiatives
•  Maintain governance score

The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Qualification/experience/skills

• N6 Engineering vs Mechanical
• BTech preferable
• 5 years working experience in FMCG
• Previous working experience in Utilities including compressed air, water treatment, steam generation vs boilers, effluent treatment, refrigeration preferably NH3, Co2 and standby
