Job description

Are you dynamic, looking to make a difference in the HE sector, eager to work with exciting technologies?

Are you based in South Africa and have South African citizenship? If so, please read the requirements below.

We are looking for a mid-level developer to join our dynamic team and to develop and support applications written in Java, Javascript and other UI technologies.
- Experience in Kafka, REST, Jax-RS, SOAP webservices or Jax-ws would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of relational databases Oracle or MYSQL would be advantageous..
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years programming experience in Java and/or Javascript.
- Experience in web based projects, MVC architecture and RESTfull Service architecture.
- Experience in using Eclipse, Maven, JBOSS, Node-JS or Tomcat.
- Knowledge of J2EE, UML, Web services.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
