Key Responsibility Areas:

• Aligning functional areas to the broader divisional objectives.
• Prepares capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
• Establish a framework of environmental regulatory tools for the assessment and mitigation of development impacts on sensitive biodiversity assets.
• Disseminates strategic and functional information to clearly defined audiences on the immediate, short and long term objectives and current applications and constraints.
• Controls and executes actions to address administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality.
• Undertakes related assignments.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements:

• Master of Science Degree (NQF Level 9) in Biological or Ecological or Environmental Sciences or Management.
• Registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat).
• Registered with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) as a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP).
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 7 years relevant experience in environmental assessment, review of environmental impact assessment reports, environmental compliance monitoring and enforcement experience.
• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• 8 Years relevant experience in environmental assessment, review of environmental impact assessment reports, environmental compliance monitoring and enforcement experience.
