    Digital Africa Lead - Performance Improvement


    Job description

    As Performance Improvement Senior Manager - Customer, you'll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. With guidance from partners and directors, you'll identify potential business opportunities. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs and contribute to thought leadership.

    We have recently set up AIM (Africa, India and Middle East) as the new area of influence for the Advisory service line, the candidate must have complete mobility to work in a temporary basis out of South Africa.

    • You'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. In line with our commitment to quality, you'll consistently drive projects to completion and confirm that work is of high quality. Your role in leading teams - or parts of teams - on engagements will depend on the size of engagement. When working on engagements, you'll report to higher levels of management, who will expect you to anticipate and identify risks, and escalate any issues as appropriate.
    • As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
    • Ambition is to become in the next three years (by FY20) the number 1 recognised Africa market leader in customer-centric design, by embedding design-led thinking into the fabric of everything we do.
    • The market analysis highlights Service design capabilities as the entry point to play a competitive advantage on the Africa Digital arena as the key competitors on the region present lack of capabilities on this area that is highly demanding on the strategic sectors:
    • FSA
    • Telco
    • G&PS and
    • CP&R

    The candidate will supply the Digital Africa Role reporting into PI/Customer Africa and creating strong links with AIM Digital & Innovation. The candidate can be Associate Director or Senior Manager reporting into Customer Africa Partner.

    Strong Service Design experience and acknowledgement of Seren methodologies.

    As Africa Digital Service Design lead, he/she will be accountable for:

    • Design facing:
      • Set up the Seren Hub of Services for Africa
      • Be a hands-on design expert
      • Communicate and envision service concepts and ideas using methods & tools that illustrate all the components and touchpoints of the service
      • Inspire innovative approaches to design, using creative facilitation techniques and taking the lead at internal company meetings, brainstorms and external design events
    • Client facing:
      • Lead the Digital agenda in Africa, actively driving business development activities in G360 and Top priorities account aligned with the Market Sector leaders
      • Establish relationships and liaise with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
      • Contributing to the brand awareness building
      • Team building
      • Collaborate on setting up Seren Africa Hub services, with a forecast headcount of 6 people by end of F18
