Our listed-client, a leader in the South African Property Market, has been focussed on protecting, expanding and improving their retail, industrial and commercial portfolio. As the preferred Landlord and Managing Company, their business strategy of offering competitive products, services and space has put them ahead of the competition. Through large scale acquisitions, disposing of underperforming assets, as well as developing and managing their current buildings, they have grown their portfolio to now be valued at over R50 Billion across the entirety of South Africa. Under their Cape-Town Management team is a well-established Retail Centre based in the busy hub of City Centre. Stretching close to 50,000sqm this R800-Million shopping centre requires a strong Assistant Facilities Manager to join their team. Helping the Portfolio and Facilities Manager will be your main responsibility. This will include being the first point of contact for tenants and contractors. You will be responsible for running your own maintenance and construction projects, from project schedules to budgets. As part of the maintenance department, you will also be assisting in procuring goods and services through approved vendors. Compiling weekly status reports and handling other administrative assistance to the Property Management team will also form part of your tasks. If you have 3 years technical and property experience within the Facilities team of a retail centre, an understanding of Customer Care, Health and Safety Issues and hands-on experience.
