What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates that can fulfil the role of a Software Test Analyst. Tget a foot in the door with us we require the following as minimum:

Qualification/s

• BS or BA degree preferred but relevant testing experience will supersede.
• At least 5 years of relevant software testing experience with demonstrated abilities in the software testing field.

Key Skills

• Experience with approaches and/or methodologies such agile, waterfall and lean development
• Identify test requirements from specifications or any other form of requirements
• Map test case requirements
• Design test coverage plan (requirements matrix)
• Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artefacts like test data, data validation, requirement matrices and reports
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases
• Reporting test results
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
• Exposure ta test automation environment is essential tyour application

Technical Skills

• SQL (Awareness of relational DB structure and use of queries treturn and/or update data)
• Scripting in VBScript, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript will be advantageous
• Testing Tools
• Test Management Tools (HP Quality Center/ALM, Test Link, etc.)
• Defect Management Tools (HP Quality Center, Atlassian JIRA, Bugzilla, IBM Rational ClearQuest, etc.)
• SOAP UI (will be advantageous)
• Selenium (will be advantageous)
• Technologies and solution exposure
• Web based applications
• Message based systems
• Desktop applications
• Back-end/Mainframe
• Mobile applications
• Commercial off the shelf applications (COTS)
• Test Process integrations
• DevOps – with continuous delivery/integration strategies
• Agile – DAD, Kanban, XP, Lean Development

Responsibilities

• Form part of delivery team
• Analyse and review business specifications, technical specification for test requirement validation
• Provide effort estimate tkey stakeholders
• Design, prioritise and create tests against test requirement matrix
• Define and source test data for tests produced
• Execution of tests
• Execution reporting
• Defect management and reporting
