    Group Financial Controller

    Job description

    Bosch Management Services, a member of the multi-disciplinary consulting, project engineering, construction and operations management Bosch Holdings group of companies, founded in 1961 has an opportunity for an energetic and driven Group Financial Controller. This position will be based in Durban and will report directly to the Group Financial Director.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Management and development of the full central finance function of the group (including financial managers and staff)
    • Management of monthly financial reporting, statutory compliance and central finance function
    • Co-ordination and control of statutory audit process for the group
    • Co-ordination of group annual budget process
    • Strategic planning for the finance function and input across the group
    • Design, implementation and monitoring of internal control procedures
    • Annual preparation of financial statements
    • International tax research and compliance
    • Responsibility for local tax compliance for the group
    • Interface with operations management
    • Providing backup & support to Group Financial Director.

    The ideal candidate should:

    • Be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) (SA) with at least 10 years work experience.
    • Have relevant commercial experience.
    • Have excellent eye for detail
    • Have good business / commercial acumen to be able to support and add value to the group’s strategy and growth
    • Have strong up to date knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, South African taxes, relevant laws and regulations and governance principles
    • Be deadline driven and possess ability to streamline processes
    • Have capabilities to supervise, manage and lead staff
    • Have strong interpersonal skills
    • Be willing to do adhoc local and international travel.
