The position is a hands-on role for a leader-doer, suited to a candidate with a telecoms modelling, data analysis or business intelligence background who is interested in broadening their experience into:

• Working with clients to develop solution use-cases.
• Building solutions using Ontology5 for network visualisation/troubleshooting, service management and interactive data alignment.
• Taking responsibility for technical relationships with customer representatives.
• Understanding how the goals and findings of data analysis relate to the customer’s business problem.

Profile

• Quick learner, fast thinker.
• Excellent communicator with outstanding social skills:
• Ability to work directly with the client to help capture, verify, and communicate business objectives.
• Experience of, and familiarity with:
• Large, complex data intensive environments in heterogeneous systems infrastructure.
• Network and communications technologies and systems.

Must be comfortable with:

• Modern data storage and retrieval systems.
• Query and scripting languages.
• Web-based component presentation layers.
• Both *nix and MS Windows environments.
• Able to critically appraise and improve delivery process; in particular comfortable with the idea of “lean” delivery in software environments based on iterative, high-communications enabled approaches.
• Any experience of graph data, RDF, SPARQL and associated technologies a bonus
• Experience with Network and communications technologies and systems is highly valued in this role.
