Job Title: Software Design Engineer

• We’re looking for software engineer who plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. The position involves the development and maintenance of software/systems in respect of planning, writing, testing, implementation and maintenance of new and existing software products or systems running on embedded Point-Of-Sale (POS) devices.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Contribute to Technical design of software products
• Software maintenance
• Provide software support to Software Delivery team as well as Customer contacts
• Coding and documentation
• The embedded system engineering and development is targeted at POS devices running either a proprietary or Linux operating system.

Knowledge & Experience

• C/C++
• Knowledge of embedded software design, programming and debugging
• Linux Operating Systems
• Network protocols
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Jama.
• Exposure to Agile

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and achieve results.
• Ability to collaborate on a global level in an open source development process.
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and to work under pressure.
• Strong understanding of and adherence to the SDLC and PM process followed by the team

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• A working knowledge of the payment card industry, standards and practices.
• Willingness to travel internationally for training and technical workshops.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor degree level in Computer Science / Software Development
• 3-5 years C/C++ programming
