Business Architect and Application Architect at EOH MC Solutions

Job Description

We are looking for architects with the following skills set.

Please note ,these are two separate positions.

Business Architect

• Develop a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
• Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key business views of the client.
• Model the enterprise from a business perspective for all departments
• Capture the strategic and tactical enterprise goals that align to the organisation which are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
• Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organisational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as citizens, suppliers, and external systems that interact with government; and describe which people, resources and controls are involve this the process.

Desirable

• TOGAF certification
• Public sector experience                                                                                                                                      

Application Architect

• Co-ordinate and manage the analysis of business needs, user requirements, objectives and goals for approved e-Government and ICT programmes/projects within the agreed frameworks.
• Provide strategic direction for the client landscape.
• Provide blueprint for most effective target architecture that support the client strategic goals.
• Ensure that enterprise software application standards are reviewed in terms of development platforms, development tools and development languages.
• Guide review and recommend application architecture design and system integration.
• Ensure application governance are enforced and monitored.
• Ensure that the appropriate strategies and policies are in place and provide the necessary expertise to the Policy and Strategy Unit where strategy and policies are deemed missing
• Manage and maintain the application artefacts in the enterprise architecture repository.
• Define the system, technical, and in some instances, the business architecture for major area development.
• Provide input into WCG Provincial ICT governance framework and standards.
• Provide input to WCG ICT Medium Term Expenditure Committee for budgets
