The G Band Senior Specialist: Internal Audit (IT) role is based within Finance

The role of a Senior Specialist: Internal Audit (IT) is to assist and execute on the annual audit plan and also to ensure that audits are performed and follow up is conducted as per GIA methodology while managing relationships with various client departments.

Your responsibilities will include but won’t be limited to the following:

• Execute annual audit plan
• Manage and lead audit projects
• Compile audit reports
• Follow-up on outstanding issues
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders
• Produce great quality audit work
• In Addition To The Details Listed Above, The Ideal Candidate Will Have An In Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of The Following
• Internal audit practices
• Relevant frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO17799BS27001, etc.)
• Technical/Infrastructure knowledge is preferred i.e. detailed knowledge of the following technology platforms:
• Operating systems – UNIX, LINUX, Windows
• IT Networks
• Firewalls
• Databases – SQL, Sybase, Oracle
• Datacentre
• Relevant laws (ECT act, POPI etc.)
• Internal Audit Standards & Professional Ethics

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Matric (essential)
• A relevant IT Bachelor Degree (e.g. BSC Computer Science, B.Com Informatics)
• 5-7 years audit experience (at least 3 years in Technical /Infrastructure Computer Auditing)
• Computer Audit qualifications e.g. CISA, CISM and CISSP – at least 1 of the 3 is essential
• CA(SA) or CIA will be an advantage
• A relevant IT post graduate degreediploma will also be an added advantage
