IT Manager at MiX Telematics

Reporting to the H&O executive, the IT manager will be responsible for achieving optimal uptime and performance with help from a team of IT professionals. The role will also involve managing local infrastructure and related applications, overseeing desktop support services, and implementing company compliance and data protection policies.

Management experience required:

• Must have experience on IT and network security.
• ITIL, ISO-27001 or equivalent certification experience.
• An understanding and knowledge of cloud solutions such as AWS and Azure will be beneficial.
• Strong people skills and ability to work across all levels in the organisation.
• Ability to build relationships across teams.
• Process and SLA management.
• Reporting.
• Ability to build relationships with suppliers and constantly drive quality of service.
• Ability to run point on any issues or outages (driving the resolution process while keeping relevant parties updated).
• Work under pressure and in stressful situations.

Technical requirements and experience:

• Experience in managing IT infrastructure over large distributed environments.
• Experience in designing and maintaining highly available environments.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining monitoring solutions.
• Thorough and current knowledge of:
• VMWare
• SQL server
• Windows server (including Active Directory, clustering)
• Security (internal and perimeter)
• Networking (MPLS, QoS, IPSec, routing, security, WiFi etc.)
• System Center – Operations Manager
