    Area Vice President- Customer Experience & Outcome - West

    Job description

    He/she Will Do This By

    We are looking for strategic and inspiring leaders who will manage a team of 8-10 Customer Experience & Outcomes Managers (CEOMs). The Area Vice President (AVP) is responsible for unleashing Intarcia’s talent by providing team vision, direction, and game changing impact on practice and patient outcomes; making ITCA 650 the new standard of care in T2D.

    • Leading, Inspiring and Serving with Passion and Tenacity by modeling the way, projecting energy, excitement, and a sense of urgency toward organizational purpose and values. Leading with a dedication to Caring & Winning for patients and practices, by demonstrating the tenacity it takes to be extraordinary.
    • Identifying, hiring, coaching, and developing Inspirational Leaders who will in turn, build and cultivate high performing teams that drive unique and innovative strategies focused on improving patient and practice outcomes in T2D through successfully launching Intarcia’s disruptive drug/device combination, ITCA 650.
    • Motivating the team to deliver results through meeting and/or exceeding objectives that are aligned with Intarcia values, outcomes goals, and customer experience standards in accordance with applicable laws and the company’s healthcare compliance policies
    • Influencing and driving the Intarcia Culture that is built on our Values of Trust, Tenacity, Winning, Innovation, Care and Excellence.     The AVP will be the key to unleashing true team potential by cultivating an atmosphere of interdependence, collaboration, and reciprocal communication that creates a winning environment that inspires all to demand excellence from themselves because creating impact and winning is fun and fulfilling.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • 10+ years of exceptional pharmaceutical/medical sales and sales leadership experience required, with at least five (5) of those years as a sales leader demonstrating impact
    • Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, lead and manage sales managers
    • Experience managing highly scientific or complex selling models
    • Working knowledge of Managed Markets and healthcare trends impacting the healthcare industry, including quality of care, performance measures, value-based reimbursement and payment models, care coordination, customer segments (private and public)
    • Executive level leadership, influence and credibility to engage internal and external stakeholders
    • High degree of emotional intelligence with ability to connect with people and build strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally
    • Thorough understanding of medical device/pharmaceutical industries’ regulatory and compliance environment
    • Ability to travel weekly

    Preferred Experience With

    • Advanced Degree
    • Type 2 Diabetes product promotion
    • Medical device/procedural training experience and/or certifications in relevant field (RN, PA, CDE, other)
    • Sterile Field Techniques
    • Experience managing through complex reimbursement environments (e.g. buy & bill, specialty pharmacies, HUB services)
    • Start-up companies and/or field force builds
    • Key contacts and relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the diabetes market space
    • Product Launches
    • Training, marketing, or other cross-functional home office experience

    • Additionally, we are developing a pipeline of products for our proprietary Medici Drug Delivery System™, comprised of three unique technologies: 1) A stabilization technology that allows for proteins, peptides, antibody fragments, and other highly potent small molecules to be stabilized at or above human body temperatures for up to three years or more; 2) A matchstick-sized osmotic mini-pump that is placed just under the dermal layer of skin to deliver a continuous and consistent flow of medication; and 3) A placement technology including proprietary tools designed to provide an optimal user experience.
