    SCM and Process Innovation Manager

    Job Description

    • Samsung RHQ Business Innovation Division is looking to employ a SCM and Process Innovation Manager responsible for inter alia:
    • Develop and ensure implementation of operational plans and processes.
    • Ensure adherence to all operational processes and procedures.
    • Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of all operations.
    • Operational reporting and analysis.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (West and East Africa Sales team, and Samsung Head Quarter Korea), to ensure excellent service.
    • Responsible for operational practices and procedures of the business.
    • Coordinate the day-to-day workflow in and out of the business to meet schedules.
    • Develop methods to measure department performance and ensures that development/improvement programs are in place where necessary.
    • Manage both direct and indirect resources whose functions include: development of plans, process impact and redesign, change management,
    • communication, training, delivery, implementation of financials and monitoring of performance of implemented solutions, and continuously improve implementation capability.
    • To understand and clarify the Samsung value chain
    • Provide feedback on operational functions
    • Monitor activities within risk and compliance requirements
    • Planning and controlling operational strategies and targets
    • Developing, implementing and maintaining operational systems and practices
    • Market Data analysis and reporting in time.
    • Ensuring high levels of efficiency and productivity across all operational departments
    • Feedback and reporting on operations results
    • Leadership and people management

    Operations:

    •  Work cross functionally in matrix environment;
    •  Work cross functionally with the SCM, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure uninterrupted supply;
    •  Resolve supply issues and threats;
    •  Ensure relevant planning, organizing, systems and controls to manage business operations;
    •  Ensure timely management of forecasting;
    •  Ensure accuracy and validation of business partner’s forecast received;
    •  Ensure competitive service levels to customers;

    Strategically:

    •  Work with the SCM and Sales teams to ensure ongoing improvement of business partner supply efficiencies;
    •  Sales team and target management
    • Ensure that operational capabilities of the Samsung develop in line with the business.

    This position will require the applicant(s) to meet the following minimum requirements:

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 5-10 years experience in Sales, Account management, operational efficiencies, administration, customer service, sales support, supply chain operations and staff development
    • Ideally 2-5 years experience in a Sales & operational role
    • Track record of success at Sales & operational management level in consumer electronics, mobile and/or IT environment, preferably gained in the retail sector.
    • The ability to lead, guide, control, motivate and control a multi-disciplined Sales & operations team, as well as the associated administrative and systems resources.

    Knowledge:

    • Experience and exposure in a Mobile, IT and/or Consumer Electronics environment is a pre-requisite
    • Sales & Planning acumen
    • Understanding of business finance, including budget management

    • Strong leadership and presentation skills
    • Strong customer focus and results-oriented person
    • Conflict management skills
