Design Room Manager at Performance Brands (Pty) Ltd

Job description

Main Function is to manage work flow in design room, and coordinate new sample development.

Tracking sample development from brief stage from the designer to the sealed sample. Deal with all production co-ordination requirements between production and Pattern Designers. Healthy understanding of costings & garment technology, and strong Microsoft Excel skills a must.

Duties include:

• Working with designers – Understanding and executing new Designs and developments.
• Analyse new style developments and promote more efficient garment construction techniques for production,
• Managing workflow in and out of design room, including Pre-Production Samples.
• Ensuring all Deadlines are met, and samples are completed for approval and issued to the sales/design team timeously,
• Create accurate BOM’s on NAV once samples are sealed

Requirements:

• Clothing Management or equivalent Diploma/ Degree
• 2-5 years fashion industry work experience with a strong emphasis on garment technology & production
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and decision making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
• Excellent organization skills required as well as the ability to proactively self-prioritize workflow to ensure deadlines are met
• Ability to proactively trouble shoot and problem solve
• Collaborative team player
