Reporting to the Head of Finance, who in turn, reports directly to the Finance Director, the desirable person will manage a diverse team. This unique opportunity requires the profile of more of a Compliance Specialist.

Qualification:

CA (SA)

Skills & Experience:

• Financial Services and Insurance experience preferred
• Approximately 8 years’ experience in a statutory reporting accounting and a financial environment
• Strong International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Heaps of experience in consolidation and accounting processes and procedures
• Understanding key performance drivers and group businesses
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management
• Experience in financial reporting systems

Job Description:

• Implementing and maintaining efficient and effective consolidation processes
• Managing change processes
• Preparation of Group annual financial statements and interim results
• Understanding drivers of statutory information – year end and interim
• Preparation of the quarterly statutory information as input to regulatory reporting process
• Reviewing results
• Responsible for accuracy of information and reviewing work performed by team members
