OVERVIEW
Job Summary
This post reports to the Deputy Director/Chief, Strategic Partner Branch in DHR with a dotted (administrative) reporting line to the Regional Director for the Respective regions based in (Istanbul, Panama, Dakar, Johannesburg, Bangkok, Cairo), and administers staff and roles in the respective regions and will require the incumbent to travel. The incumbent works in close collaboration with the Regional Director and other DHR entities to deliver effective HR and people related solutions.
The Human Resources Strategic Partner is a role within UNFPA’s innovative Leadership Pool initiative, and is accordingly rotational. During the course of their service with UNFPA, international rotational staff are expected to serve in a variety of locations.
Education:
An advanced university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Training, Organisational Development, Public Administration, Law, International Development or other relevant social sciences.
Knowledge and Experience:
Languages: Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
Duty Stations: Johannesburg and Dakar are currently open.
