    Job description

    We're looking for an energetic, innovative, connected and results-oriented Technical Recruiter. You will lead the sourcing and hiring of technical talent especially in our Power business with key stakeholders and excute the full life cycle of the corporate recruitment process.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    In this role you will:

    • Manage ‘wing to wing’ recruiting activity for external technical talent
    • Stakeholders include Talent Acquisition team members, Regional and Global Hiring Managers, relevant HR counterparts and all candidates
    • Conduct effective job launch meetings with Hiring Managers, set process and communication expectations
    • Utilize effective sourcing channels
    • Identify, pipeline and hire top talent and track through CRM Tool and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    • Interview and evaluate candidates to qualify them for the role, in person or via phone
    • Be capable of managing the offer process
    • Follow up on satisfaction surveys (both Hiring Manager & Candidate), take action on feedback to improve the customer experience
    • Understand Business targets and monitor personal performance
    • Help support GE’s diversity initiatives & strategy to attract a diverse workforce to the company
    • Present the best GE to enhance the Candidate Experience (e.g.: timely & relevant communication)
    • Able to join Talent Recruitment led projects, provide input, act as Subject Matter Expert and move forward on actions allocated

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of experience in recruiting in South Africa
    • Legal authorization to work in South Africa. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job
    • Any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of background checks
    • Must be willing to travel and work long hours at times
    • Must be willing to work out of any of our sites in Johannesburg or Witbank
    • Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Technical Expertise:
    • Proven track record of success in agency or corporate technical recruiting

    Experience within the following sectors

    • Power, Heavy Manufacturing, Engineering or Mining
    • Agile in creating a high quality pipeline of passive technical talent leads. Work with team members to enhance sourcing and pipe lining capabilities.
    • Successfully review job descriptions to understand the needs of the hiring manager as well to ask questions that’ll help you identify the right candidate(s)Business Acumen:
    • Gather market data and landscape for the Hiring Manager
    • Demonstrate understanding of business priorities and organizational dynamics. Seek to understand the products of our business Leadership:
    • Discern and understand own role in team and in relationship to function
    • Recognize collaborative behavior and participate in collaborative activities
    • Systematically break problems into component parts
    • Identify a successful solution and quantify the associated risks/outcomes of the solution
    • Prioritize action to solve problemsPersonal Attributes:
    • Build rapport and relationship with peers, recognize how confidence and assertiveness help in completing tasks/projects
    • Exemplify a positive attitude
    • Articulate opinions and present clear rationale, receive feedback in a constructive and positive way
