Production Scheduler at Distell

Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in the Planning Department, at Secondary Production Plant, Green Park in Epping 2. This position will report to the Production Planner.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible to deliver weekly production schedules for Bottling and Bottle Wash;
• Ensure superior service levels (ie stock availability) to meet local and export demand;
• Perform the relevant administration, verification and reporting functions;
• Optimise stock levels, production capacity utilization and reporting functions;
• Actively participating in Planning Mini-Business and actively drives Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Interact with relevant stakeholders and attend cross functional meetings;
• Assist with bulk scheduling when needed;
• Assist with site’s product change control (ie product upgrades and new products);
• Assist with compilation of production volume budgets/forecasts;
• Assist with timeous BOM and Master Data Updates

The Successful Candidate Must Preferably Have The Following Experience/skills

• At least 3 years experience in a fast paced FMCG Planning/Scheduling environment
• Sound knowledge of supply chain concepts (MRP/MPS/Adherence etc)
• Experience in SAP ERP Prod or similar ERP system is essential;
• Proven computer literacy (Advanced MS Excel skills)
• Ability to work under pressure and to work independently and accurately;
• Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities;
• Ability to influence others outside his/her own sphere of control;
• Strong planning and organizational skills;
• Good problem solving abilities and action driven;
• Good people relationship skills on all levels;
• Must have a “can do” attitude and ability to think outside the box

The Successful Candidate Must Preferably Have The Following Qualification/s

• Grade 12;
• Tertiary qualification (Focussing on planning/Supply Chain) will be advantageous.
