A vacancy exists within Merensky at (SFP – Langeni Sawmill), situated near Mthatha in the Eastern Cape, for a suitably qualified

DIESEL MECHANIC

The successful incumbent must comply with the following criteria:

Position Specifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Completed apprenticeship and trade test certificate
• Appropriate experience on forestry equipment such as tygercat, bell and urus machines
• Ability to repair and service all vehicles/ mechanical equipment falling within the ambience of the garage workshop.
• Valid drivers licence
• Must have experience in hydraulic and mechanical computer systems

Person Requirements:

• Must be prepared to work overtime from time to time
• Must be prepared to do standby duties.
• Must be able to communicate at all levels
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be innovative and safety conscious.
• Must be able to work within a team.
