Job description

Role Purpose:

The Operational Risk Specialist is responsible to ensure that risk management programmes are designed to identify risk exposures at a process level and to perform a risk assessment to determine the residual risk. The role involves effective implementation of risk assessment programmes so that management can be provided with accurate risk information for effective decision-making on internal controls. It includes collecting risk information and drafting reports to stakeholders on losses and risk exposures. The incumbent is responsible for continious monitoring of operational risk processes.

• Minimum Qualification - Grade 12
• Preferred Qualification - Risk related diploma or degree in Law / BComm or Company Secretarial qualification
• Experience - Three to five years experience in business operations
• Prior experience in auditing and / or risk management is recommended
