    Job description

    Are you the HR Business Partner with managerial experience and the ability to build and deploy the HR strategy for Philips Lighting Africa? This position could be your next challenge!

    Your Responsibilities

    The position of HR Business Partner covers the strategic responsibilties for the full Africa market and opperational aspects for the South Africa district.

    Within This Role You Will Focus On

    • Operational
      • Implement the business and HR agenda for the Market Group
      • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency & effectiveness of key HR processes
      • Financial
      • Drive head count productivity within the Market Group based on benchmarks
      • Manage HR function’s costs
    • Customer
      • Guide the market leader/management team members to deliver key messages understanding stakeholder requirements
      • Drive the implementation of HR plans meeting customers and business needs
    • People
      • Lead talent management processes to support business strategy
      • Lead initiatives that improve people performance against strategic needs
      • Shape organizational development initiatives for building desired capabilities
      • Deploy Lightings Employee Value Proposition to attract and retain best talents.
      • Initiate and sustain change programs aligned to business objectives
      • Lead initiative to drive employee engagement
    • Your Team
      • As the HR Business Partner for Africa, you will be managing a team of 3 HR professionals in our 3 districts. The 3 HR professionals are based in Marocco, Egypt, South-Africa. The location of this role is Johannesburg, South Africa.
      • You will report into the Market Leader of Philips Lighting Africa and will be the HR representative in management team meetings.

    We are looking for

    As the HR Business Partner we expect you to bring:

    Experience

    • Minimum a BSc degree in Psychology, Industrial Relations, business management, Law, or a related discipline
    • 8+ years of responsible management positions within HR with proven track record of building and maintaining credible relationships with stakeholders
    • 3+ years of HR leadership role with global responsibilities in a multi-national company
    • 3+ years of experience in driving organizational transformations, workforce optimization and productivity
    • 3+ years of deep-rooted HR functional experience
    • 5 years of direct people management with track record of building successful leadership teams and developing talents
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Fluent in English is a must; Mastering the French language is a plus
    • Flexibility to travel: this role requires travelling on quarterly basis
