    Production Supervisor

    Job Purpose:

    • The Production Supervisor leads and motivates the furniture production team to achieve operational excellence. This role ensures that all furniture products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to team leaders and production staff.
    • Build a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, ownership, and high performance.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, progress, and address challenges.

    Operational Oversight

    • Supervise daily furniture production activities to meet output and quality targets.
    • Work closely with the Production Manager – WFC Furniture to plan and execute production schedules.
    • Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to avoid bottlenecks.

    Process & Quality Management

    • Ensure compliance with quality standards for all furniture products.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
    • Maintain accurate production records daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Production Manager – WFC Furniture.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Enforce health and safety protocols across all production areas.
    • Ensure machinery and tools are maintained and serviced regularly for safe operation.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Drive initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
    • Encourage innovation and problem-solving within the team.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum requirement: National Certificate in Furniture Manufacturing or an equivalent qualification such as Furniture Making (Wood/Upholstery), Furniture Finishing, Wood Technology, Cabinet Making, Joinery, Carpentry, Upholstery, CNC Woodworking Operations, or Wood Machining.
    • Preferred: Diploma or Degree in Furniture Manufacturing, Industrial Manufacturing, Operations Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Carpentry, Wood Technology, or another related field relevant to furniture production.
    • 3–7 years of experience in furniture production or a similar manufacturing environment.
    • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.

    Required Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate with design teams.

    Homeware Visual Merchandiser

    Role overview:

    • The Homeware Visual Merchandiser is responsible for interpreting and executing the Creative Manager’s homeware direction across all retail stores.
    • This role focuses on creative implementation, category styling, technical layouts, installations, and VM training, ensuring that the homeware environments are visually inspiring, aligned to brand standards, and consistently executed nationwide.
    • This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town. 

    Key responsibilities:

    Creative Implementation & Installations

    • Execute homeware installations across categories across shelving, linen, bathroom, kitchen, lighting and carpets and displays areas.
    • Translate creative concepts into practical, brand-aligned visual solutions.
    • Prepare SketchUp layouts for installation and drawings of VM concepts for sign-off and store rollout.
    • Source and organise props required for homeware areas and storytelling moments.
    • Ensure consistent implementation of the Creative Manager’s homeware direction across stores.
    • Maintain an up-to-date SketchUp library by modelling new furniture and homeware items, when necessary.

    Training & Workshops

    • Facilitate workshops for Visual Merchandisers on homeware installation and merchandising techniques.
    • Assist in developing clear and actionable VM training content.

    Communication & Coordination

    • Compile VM communication for stores and Retail Managers regarding homeware installations and updates.
    • Provide monthly visual feedback, assessments, and reporting through virtual store visits.
    • Manage and compile the Homeware Lookbook and assist with homeware communication documents.
    • Liaise with Buying and Planning regarding product specifications, stock availability, landing dates, and signage.
    • Collaborate on pack-out planning and product allocation strategies per store.
    • Support the Creative Manager during revamps, seasonal rollouts, and campaigns.

    Process & Workflow Support

    • Assist in establishing consistent homeware standards, practices, and visual guidelines.
    • Support the VM team with preparation of installation documentation and redesign concepts.

    What you bring:

    • Diploma in Interior Décor, Retail, Fashion, or Design.
    • Minimum 3 years’ visual merchandising experience, ideally within homeware or interiors.
    • Strong technical proficiency in SketchUp (mandatory) and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to manage multiple installations, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport for national travel when required.

    Visual Merchandising Coordinator

    Role overview:

    • The Visual Merchandising Coordinator supports the Creative Manager and VM team by managing the administrative, project coordination, and support the management of departmental workflows. This role ensures that communication, scheduling, installations, and revamp coordination run smoothly and efficiently across all stores.
    • This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town. 

    Key responsibilities:

    Visual Merchandising Project Coordination

    • Plan and manage VM schedules, workflows, and project briefs on Monday.com.
    • Assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly communications for homeware integration, styling updates, installations, and promotional rollouts.
    • Coordinate annual national revamps alongside the Creative Manager and VM team.
    • Assist with sourcing materials and obtaining quotations (props, wallpaper, paint, fixtures), and coordinate deliveries to stores.
    • Support layout design and assist with compiling Lookbooks, Styling Guides, and technical VM documents.
    • Support the refinement of VM processes and workflows to improve efficiency and clarity.

    Signage & Shopfitting Coordination

    • Brief signage requirements, oversee the rollout process, and act as the point of contact between signage suppliers, Head Office, and stores.
    • Coordinate shopfitting manufacturing and installation, including measuring spaces and maintaining an updated database of fixtures, shopfitting elements, and store quantities.
    • Compile training manuals for spotlight usage, track spotlight orders, and support store implementation.

    Communication & Administration

    • Maintain accurate administrative records, documentation, and VM communication archives.
    • Liaise regularly with stores to provide guidance, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure alignment with approved VM directives.
    • Support monthly rollout communication, styling updates, and installation briefs.
    • Participate in virtual floor walks, take notes, prepare feedback reports, and assist with national store visits during revamps and installations.
    • Collaborate closely with the VM team in meeting departmental objectives through strong teamwork and support.

    What you bring:

    • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related creative discipline.
    • 2 - 3 years’ experience in retail visual merchandising, coordination, or project administration.

    IT Manager

    Role overview:

    • We are seeking a seasoned IT Manager to lead our IT strategy, driving system efficiency, redundancy, and business-aligned technology solutions. This role requires a forward-thinking leader capable of managing IT operations, teams, and third-party partners across multiple business units.
    • This role will be based in Durbanville, Cape Town. 

    Key responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a cohesive IT strategy focused on continuous improvement, system optimization, and redundancy.
    • Implement IT policies, and best practice guidelines across the organisation.
    • Translate business requirements from relevant forums into actionable workflows, managing the capacity and delegation of work across the IT team.
    • Plan, manage and optimize hardware and infrastructure, including central data center, business hardware, firewalls, network cabinets, and PC strategies.
    • Oversee IT SaaS subscriptions and operational platforms, including POS, VAIMO, Anti-Virus, and support systems like the N-Able platform.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT department to ensure high performance and strong service delivery.
    • Serve as the primary contact for key third-party vendors and partners (e.g., VAIMO, OPTSOL, ZenDesk, Flowgear, Syspro).
    • Collaborate with the Business Analyst to enable reporting and data-driven insights using Excel, Power BI, or other platforms.
    • Maintain operational software strategies across Teams, Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Zendesk, Monday.com, design software, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
    • Ensure seamless IT experiences across all Weylandts entities (WFC, StudioLandt, Home Stores, DCs) to support cross-company collaboration.
    • Support organisational effectiveness by delivering and maintaining strategic plans for the implementation of information technologies. Strategic direction and guidance will come from the CEO.
    • Develop and manage the IT department budget, optimising spend without compromising quality, reliability or security.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure correct onboarding and offboarding across all systems.
    • Oversee networking, access control, printing, AV, and connectivity at head office, retail stores, and distribution centres.
    • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and provide relevant updates to Directors annually.

    What you bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5–7years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
    • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and operational software in a multi-location retail or corporate environment.
    • Strong track record of leading IT teams and managing third-party vendor
    • Experience in strategic IT planning, system implementation, and business-aligned technology solutions.
