    Business Process Analyst

    Job description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify, investigate and analyse problems faced by business and product owners and propose documented solutions that fully address the business requirements needed to optimize the business
    • Accountable for soliciting requirements and process solution design through conducting requirement sessions, interviews and reviewing existing documentation (works closely with Business Analyst, Systems Analyst and Project Manager)
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to document and maintain business process maps, business requirement definitions and business requirements specifications
    • Critically evaluate business processes in order to establish their value and make innovative recommendations that will positively impact the business and improve client service
    • Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas and the involvement of colleagues and staff
    • Develop process solutions that encompass the entire system (people, process and technology)
    • Identify areas of user technical / system training and assist with roll-out plans
    • Contribute to the successful implementation/management of projects in order to achieve the business outcome
    • Positively influence and contribute to managing change and offer specialist support where required
    • Conduct surveys/time studies to assess the effectiveness of business processes and provide the results to assist in the identification of future improvements.
    • Identify and analyse deficiencies, loopholes, etc. in operational processes and propose a way forward to effectively deal with them
    • Investigate and propose process optimization opportunities in the context of best practice to achieve operational excellence
    • Research best practices and recommend improvements to current organizational service delivery processes
    • Apply the necessary discretion and judgement in making decisions and to overcome problems, in order to achieve set operational goals and objectives such as cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency
    • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and organizational role players to achieve optimal cross process integration
    • Research and use adequate tools to model processes/workflows in universal modelling languages
    • Document and maintain all the work around the process development to a professional standard
    • Ensure processes within the business are operating in a client centric manner

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification
    • 2 – 5 years of experience as a business analyst/business process analyst
    • Experience in business process design and business rule analysis and solutions design
    • Experience in Financial Services Industry advantageous

    Technical Competencies:

    • Ability to learn and utilize new software quickly
    • Ability to understand and design workflows using BPM software
    • Experience in implementing new processes or products
    • Process modelling experience and skills
