Job description

Job Purpose:

Directs and aligns the Unit's key performance areas against critical Real Estate and Property Valuation and research priorities.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Formulates, aligns and implements critical objectives encompassed in approved long and short term plans to guide the functioning and priorities of the Real Estate functionality.
• Directs and controls the Key Performance Indicators and outcomes of personnel within the Unit.
• Prepares capital/operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
• Develops and plans methodologies and approaches to guide specific Real Estate operational processes.
• Develops and plans methodologies and approaches to guide specific Land Affairs/Property Rights/Land Release operational processes in guiding the process of policy formulation as well as its application.
• Directs and disseminates information on Real Estate and Property Valuation policies and provides reports detailing interventions and outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in the Built Environment or Commercial field plus registration with the South African Council for Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP) as a Professional Valuer.
• 7 Years’ experience at a management level of which at least 2 years must be at a senior management level.

Preferred Requirements:
Relevant post graduate qualification in Management.
