Job description

• Assist our content team in developing high quality course content for Hyperion's online tech courses
• Make a difference through your work by ensuring that our course content assists students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds change their lives and the lives of their families by entering the field of software development through Hyperion's education
• Experience working in a fast-moving tech startup environment with a truly unique culture.
• Available as a remote role or a role from our Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, or London offices
• Available as a part-time role with a minimum time commitment of 15 hours per week

Essential

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A problem-solving attitude
• Strong teamwork skills
• Writing experience ie through academic work/side projects (such a blog on tech skills)

Desirable

• Programming experience in at least one modern programming language (eg Java/Python/C++/C#)
• Studying towards or holding a university degree in Computer Science or related subject
• Teaching or tutoring experience
• Technical writing experience
• Experience working with online students and delivery remote support
• Active involvement in local and international tech communities
• Android, Data Science, or Web Development experience
