606 Deputy Director: Project Planning And Execution (P6) at Central University of Technology, Free State

Main purpose of the job

• To manage the overall infrastructure project management office at the Central University of Technology.

Main tasks

1.  Efficient Resource Allocation and planning of programs and projects

2.  Streamlined Communication and Collaboration

3.  Risk Management and Mitigation

4.  Cost Control and Budget Management

5.  Manage the Performance & Development of staff

6. Programme Management leadership and strategy

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in the Built Environment (Engineering or Construction)
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in the managing of multiple construction projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Code B driver’s license

Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience

• Master’s degree (or postgraduate equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as architecture, engineering, construction management or project management, although applications with relevant Honours degree and a suitable level of professional experience may also be considered.
• Minimum of 10 years professional experience with at least 5 years in a senior role within program management.
• Pr. QS/Pr. Eng Tech / Pr. CPM/CM Certification/PMP (or equivalent)
• Professional Project Management Certification or Professional status or equivalent
