Job description

To manage all aspects of the Supply Chain execution. Assists in the training and improvement of the department to achieve company goals in service and sales. The position includes interfacing with sales, marketing, customer service, warehouse, transportation, materials management, controlling, repair center and other areas at corporate headquarters. Responsible for leading / contributing to the team to achieve high levels of performance. Assisting in source and select process. To develop knowledge in all areas of supply chain by participating in cross-functional activities/projects and assignments as directed by senior management.

DIMENSIONS OF POSITION:

• Train and develop skills in all parts of logistics operations, including Warehouse, Transportation, Materials Management,
• Manage supply chain to support in sales.
• Plan, purchase and distribute up to 2000 inventory items.
• ·Assist in all aspects of department operations
• Inventory management – in demo inventory, of Hilti store inventory and inventory in warehouse
• Partner with Area Sales Managers and Product Managers to ensure and maintain optimal inventory levels in Hilti stores and Demo Stock
• Customer Service Support 
• Customer Complaints Notes, inventory transfers, reporting, freight reimbursement, process questions.
• To provide logistics support to sales personnel and Hilti stores.
• Provide leadership to team through training and development, implementation, monitoring and controlling.
• Contribute and assist in operations, while contributing to process improvement and strategic direction.

• Ensure setup and testing in SAP
• Liaise with organization: Train and Trouble shoot
• Import Operations Management
• Ensure on-time imports
• Understand and ensure compliance to import regulations
• Tracking and Trouble Shooting associated with Import shipments
• Develop and Drive process improvement
• Complaint handling and liasing with Hilti HQ to solve root causes
• Interface and manage operations with Freight Forwarder
• Ensure correct invoicing and cost visibility
• Export Operations
• Interface and manage operations with Warehousing Services Partner
• Develop and Drive process improvement
• Understand and ensure compliance to regulations
• Domestic Transport Operations Management
• Lead continuous improvement in delivery execution, productivity, system functionality and quality.
• Develop solutions for specific customer delivery needs (job-site delivery, same-day, etc.)
• Ensure contract compliance on service and costs
• Ensure good Freight Cost management and invoice control
• Strategic and Tactical transport partner management
• Increase customer delivery satisfaction through Customer Complaint Note root cause identification.
• Support Sales Team on special requests and/or on transport services required
• Lean Management: Able to take Global Lean programs and adapt and implement in local setting to drive outstanding improvements in cost productivity, efficiency, service or Health/Safety

• Warehousing Operations:
• Work with warehousing service partner to plan and schedule distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/ damaged goods, maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Inbound / Putaway: Ensure timely and efficient receipt of inbound shipments via various modes (Sea, Air, Express)
• Inventory Management: Ensure current and accurate inventory control.
• Shipping / Despatch: Ensure that customer orders are picked and shipped according to defined service levels.
• Lean Management: Able to take Global Lean programs and adapt and implement in local setting to drive outstanding improvements in cost productivity, efficiency, service or Health/Safety.
• Service Management
• Act as a business partner to sales and marketing teams by developing local market understanding (competitor monitoring and customer needs) and ensuring productive and efficient logistics services / solutions

• Able to work cross functionally, use lean management tools, and sustainably solve root cause issues to achieve cost productivity, efficiencies, or service improvements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of logistics experience
• Completed Bcom in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong Microsoft and PC skills; including Access, Excel, PowerPoint,
• Strong Analytical skills and mathematical aptitude required
• SAP knowledge preferred
• Lean Management Experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented and well organized
• Comfortable working with strict deadlines
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• High level of motivation, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mentality required
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Manage Team members’ performance and development based on department needs.
• Willing to work in operational and office environment.
• Willing to relocate domestically or internationally based on corporate needs as this is a management training position
