    Social Engagement Network (SEN) Council Director

    Job description

    Department: Networks (Virtual)

    Reporting to: Chief Networks Officer

    Overview:

    The Council Director serves as the management leader and facilitator of the Social Engagement (SEN) Network member council. Partners with member champions and management team in support of the Networks strategy and goals to support the member network journey. A sophisticated Network advocate charged with building an engaged network community and serving in the product development and delivery of only in YPO experiences

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop ownership and passion for YPO Networks as you lead the Social Engagement Council in alignment with YPO governance parameters.
    • Work closely with member champions to cultivate passion for Social Engagement networks and educate members globally to enrich the experience.
    • Working closely with Governance, manage the development and implementation of business processes across the Networks division.
    • Oversee the creation and development of high-impact, cost-efficient programs for specific SEN Networks such as Global Conference Calls, Meetings-in-Meetings, newsletters and other outlets based on member needs, requests and expectations.
    • Coordinate with the Learning teams for content and relationship to other learning programs.
    • Partner with the Corporate Services department to identify resources to actively lead Global Conference Calls and Network Programs, and expand alternatives for high-quality programs.
    • Direct the strategy and activities of the SEN Network Council.
    • Coordinate with the Learning team, assist in negotiations when necessary and oversee partnerships with appropriate world-class partners to provide “only in YPO-exclusive” experience for network members.
    • Work with YPO management and external vendors as necessary, to develop and implement effective, cost-efficient marketing plans to identify Member needs that can be addressed by specific SEN Networks in ways that increase participation and engagement within individual networks.
    • Liaise with CNO on recommendations, input and support to the Network Committee and YPO Board.
    • Collaborate with regional and functional teams to promote Networks while supporting their objectives; and identifying chairs/champions, members and resources for Networks and for specific Network activities.
    • Collaborate with regional network champions and management team to support the regional objectives and to ensure regional relevance of networks and networking for members throughout the world.

    EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

    • Proven business professional with experience working alongside chief executives
    • 5+ years' experience working with executive leadership as a senior management professional
    • 5+ years' successful track record managing, motivating, coaching international teams a plus
    • Experience working in a matrix management organization
    • Experience in operations and project management
    • Experience in supporting, stewarding and executing multiple committee goals and deliverables
    • Experience managing budgets [$100k+], budget forecasting, and revenue models
    • Membership or association experience preferred
    • Experience with on-line communities and engagement

    • Understanding of committee dynamics.
    • World-class relationship leadership skills, a meaningful connector of people and ideas.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team and manage volunteer committee dynamics.
    • Strong leadership/coach/team talent development in a globally diverse matrix team environment.
    • Familiarity with on-line communities, social media platforms and digital marketing.
    • Able to effectively comprehend and articulate the policies and procedures of the organization.
    • Confident in creating creative solutions and navigating conflict.
    • Effective time management, organization and prioritization skills.
    • Captivating presenter who is agile during Q&A.
    • A global citizen sophisticated in local and international customs and protocols.
    • Must be fluent in verbal and written communications in English.
    • Able to adapt to frequent changes and lead teams through change management process.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills and database management experience.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Communication or other related fields
    • Master’s degree a plus
    • Negotiation or dispute resolution training preferred
    • Coaching or mentoring certification preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Able to travel at least 25%
