What you will do in the role

As an Accountant in our Finance Team, you will assist with the administration, accounting and reporting for all our entities within the Prodigy Group, both local and foreign.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Processing of cashbooks
• Bank reconciliations
• Processing of creditors invoices
• Creditors reconciliations
• Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation of intercompany loans
• Prepayments and accruals
• Raising of journals
• FX revaluations
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers
• Preparation of Vat returns and submission on E-filing
• Loading of both local and foreign payments on online banking systems
• Assisting with year-end process and audit queries
• Assisting with queries from the business
• Assisting with monthly management account reports
• Filing/other administrative tasks

What you need to be great at

• Analytical and numerical with great attention to detail
• Structured and organised with good time management skills
• Thorough understanding of IFRS
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Who we are looking for; track record must haves

• CIMA qualified
• Accounting Degree
• Experience within an accounting/finance role
• Experience in multi-currency, multi-company and multi-jurisdictional accounting
• Financial services experience
• Experience in using accounting packages
• Computer literate and highly proficient on MS Excel, Word and Outlook
• Fluent in English
• Experience that would be nice to have (but we’ll trade off if everything else fits)
• Ideally you will have experience in using SAGE UK
• Fintech experience
