    Human Resources Manager Training (Learning and Development)

    Job description

    Parmalat SA (Pty) Ltd is one of the major players in the South African Dairy Industry and part of the French owned Lactalis Group – the largest dairy products group in the world. This position is based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

    Reporting to the HR Executive you will be responsible for the complete Learning and Development agenda for the business and engage with Executives of all functional streams locally as well as the Group’s international training department. You are also responsible for maintaining relationships with the Department of Labour, Food Bev SETA, SAMPRO and Milk SA.

    The role requires that you oversee employee development and talent management for the Africa Zone – this includes South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Mozambique and Swaziland, focusing on the following areas: Industrial (manufacturing), Logistics, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Information Technology.

    Effectively manage learning and development by conducting skills audits in collaboration with stakeholders, planning for training, rollout of planned interventions, monitor effectiveness of implemented interventions and reporting to all stakeholders (internal and external). Work in collaboration with external stakeholders to align with National and International learning and development objectives.

    Key responsibilities include: * Talent management * Employee Development * Talent Pipeline Development * Stakeholder Management * Regulatory and Sustainability Affairs.

    You need:

    A relevant tertiary qualification, your Degree can be in Food Science/Technology or Human Resource Management with Employee Development as a major subject * a suitable ODETDP Qualification (min level at NQF 5). Dairy related qualifications and/or experience would be advantageous. To your advantage is a suitable management or supervisory qualification and a Certificate in Organisational Development. The role requires at least 5 Years’ experience in FMCG Food and Beverages Operations in a Senior Management role in a Learning and Development capacity. Strong technical / practical abilities in the Manufacturing and Technical field, as well as strong analytical and numerical skills is an essential part of this role. Fluency in English (written and verbal) as well as proficiency on the Microsoft Office suite including Advanced skills on MS Excel is essential.
