Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to:
- Develop and manage the implementation of the Strategic Business Units learning and development strategy. Manage and govern the operational training function and team for allocated business units.
- Contribute towards effective talent development across the business unit
- Effectively build and manage SBU client relationships, consulting and delivery on training solutions
- Manage service level agreements and operational training outcome achievement
- Build a supportive and effective learning environment to facilitation transfer of learning and performance impact
Key Responsibility Areas
- Operational training and talent development business partnering
- Operations training team management, leadership and development
- Business Unit learning strategy and management of delivery of aligned training
- Management of the operationalization of training
- Business alignment and evaluation of training
- Create blended learning solutions using existing learning courses and resources.
- Learning and development quality management and reporting
- Learning governance and compliance
- Training Business impact measurement and continual improvement
- Overseeing learning environment, coaching and mentoring processes
Key Relationships:
Key Internal Relationships: Ucademy Learning & Development team, Operations Executive, Operations Line Management, Operations Training teams and operations teams, HR, Support functions
Key External Relationships: BU Clients, 3rd party providers/vendors
Qualifications/ Experience Required
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- National Certificate / Diploma in OD ETDP, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business Administration, Operations Management or similar
- Degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business Administration, Psychology or Industrial Psychology, Operations/Performance management
Experience
- Learning/training Programme Design, Development and delivery experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an managerial role in operations management training and or Learning and Development Leader in an operational or business delivery environment
- Exposure to working with senior leadership teams
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team across multiple stakeholders
- Skills development needs analysis, design, facilitation, management/leadership experience
- Computer literacy (MS Office) at an intermediate to advanced level - particularly MS Excel MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- L&D performance consulting, coaching and support
- Functional/Divisional/Team Management
