Job Description
The Marketing Manager will play a leading role in building the PANDORA brand with great ambitions for Southern Africa, with South Africa (ZA) being the primary focus.
He/she will be responsible, with guidance from the Cluster Marketing Director, for the proper market execution of global strategies and managing the PANDORA brand experience and consumer interaction across all brand touch points, including: product, retail wholesale and e-store, visual merchandising, advertising, public relations, promotions, online/social media and direct marketing.
Responsibilities
- Brand Awareness
- Plan and execute the global marketing strategy for Southern Africa, fine-tuned to suit the needs of the local market.
- Ensure that brand and marketing strategies are in line with the global strategy and objectives
- Organize and attend events to ensure maximum PANDORA exposure in accordance with the Brand Strategy
- Liaise regularly with Cluster Marketing Director to ensure local needs are evaluated and passed on to the EMEA Marketing team.
- Marketing Execution
- Execute Promotional Calendar – linking all celebrations and relevant timeliness for marketing collateral in line with overall business objectives
- Ensure that all products and new collections are communicated at the right time, at the right place and to the right people
- Build, utilize and develop relations with our consumers, multi-branded retailers, franchisees and company owned stores
- Full accountability for the marketing budget and optimize the use of resources at all times
- Maintain collaborative relationships with industry experts and develop new decision making insights for local decision making.
- Work closely with other departments (Retail & Merchandising especially) to develop campaigns to full potential. Ensure one brand message to stores and partners, and build on operational expertise to deliver perfect execution.
- PR & Advertising
- Develop and implement communication & PR strategy throughout Southern Africa.
- Maintain and build on strong relationships with the leading lifestyle and fashion magazines, bloggers plus influencers.
- Select, brief and work with PR/media agencies with tactical and branding requirements ensuring added value and appropriate discounts are achieved.
- Brand positioning, media alliances & advertising objectives in line with guidelines from Global
- Localization
- Work closely with regional partners to ensure that all assets are implemented within the PANDORA guidelines.
- Manage collaterals e.g. high-end print requirements – brief, costs control and quality
- Coordinate and deliver promotional material for both retail and wholesale communication programs
- Digital
- Ensure a strong representation of PANDORA within the target audience in South Africa
- Ensure that Online relationships are successful in building consumer relations (.net, eCommerce, social media (FB), PANDORA club…etc)
- Ensure that eCommerce business supports brand objectives as well as top line commercial ones. Monitor customer service levels and ensure the customer experience is seamlessly transitioned between store and site.
- Visual Merchandising
- Oversee all elements of the VM process, to ensure a strong link between Marketing communication outside the store and within the stores.
- Develop VM standards in accordance with PANDORA guidelines, striving for excellence,
- Support in the order process and timings
- Develop accountability and support lines between VM, RSMs, Store teams
- Liaise regularly with Merchandising & Retail for commercial opportunities
Qualifications
University Degree Professional : Marketing or related field preferred
Language Skills
English: Advanced(Verbal & Written)
Computer Skills
MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience preferably from within large, international companies operating in competitive markets
- Experience in fashion, luxury and/or lifestyle preferable.
- Experience with online/digital business to consumer marketing
- Experience with classic business to consumer marketing practices (e.g. consumer acquisition and retention through loyalty programs).
- Experience involving marketing operations, merchandising, planning, market research, competitive analysis and target control.
- Possess vision and strategic planning capabilities.
- Strong consumer insight.
- Structured and analytical.
- Impactful leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills to successfully influence colleagues and team members at all levels.
- A problem solver who is proactively involved in supporting the team to address challenges as they arise.
- Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills.
- High degree of business acumen and commercial awareness.
