Job description

Role Purpose

With guidance from the Senior Product Portfolio Manager, to establish clear customer and market oriented thinking into product enhancements and developments. Create, development and implement clear Product Roadmaps to ensure business strategy alignment. This includes evaluating customer feedback, managing product stakeholder forums, help to develop product briefs, developing product launch materials, coordinating with company marketing and delivery teams.

Postion Description

• Product Portfolio management
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps for assigned product portfolio
• Oversee product enhancement projects and initiatives in line with UX principles
• Define product business requirements and specifications
• Build and manage the product backlog in line with roadmaps and provide clear guidelines to the delivery team
• Defining and maintaining the product value proposition
• Provide appropriate management reporting
• Contribute to the implementation of an effective product library, document storage
• Ensure effective operational product support agreements in place with the Senior ICT Operations Manager
• Contribute to effective sales, marketing and communication strategies
• Product Portfolio profitability and sustainability
• Contribute to sustainable pricing solutions
• Contribute to the overall strategic planning of product portfolio
• Market and Trend Analysis
• Identify correct audience for current and new product initiatives
• Identify new opportunities, markets and needs
• Manage product stakeholder forums
• Contribute to the Annual customer survey
• Identify legislative requirements impacting on products and current markets/clients
• Identify industry developments that may impact on current markets and products
• Monitor trends in current customer markets
• Product Compliance
• Develop, implement and monitor effective compliance processes
• for identified compliance risks
• Develop governance controls to effectively manage risks and potential returns.
• Identify and report on potential risks to current products, markets and/or environments
• Identify potential competitor markets
• Operate within agreed mandates.
• Maintain practices in line with organisational guidelines, policies, culture and values
• Ensure service practices and standards (SLA’s) adhered to
• Develop and encourage strong team work
• Manage areas of critical compliance and actively manage non-conformance

Knowledge and Skills

• Formal Education
• Bachelor in business or related field
• Technical/ Legal Certification
• Project Management exposure and or understanding
• Thorough Understanding and working knowledge of Agile Product Owner Methodology
• UX certification

Experience

• Minimum 3 Years Agile Product Owner experience
• Business analysis exposure and/or experience
• Experience in the Financial Services Industry an advantage
