Job Summary
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Territory Inside Sales Representative to join us in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will own a territory of customers and uncover new opportunities to sell Red Hat's full portfolio of open source solutions, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat JBoss Middleware, Red Hat Consulting, and our cloud solutions. You'll work with internal and external partners to improve business and create solutions that serve the interests of Red Hat's customers.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Educate prospective customers on the unique value proposition Red Hat and open source brings to an IT organization
- Sell Red Hat's enterprise offerings, solutions, and services into an assigned territory in the South African market
- Work by phone to identify, qualify, and close opportunities
- Invest time on-site to build relationships within important accounts
- Answer sales queries and process leads in accordance with Red Hat's service level agreements
- Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas, grow and renew existing customer relationships, and acquire new business
- Manage forecasts, close deals, record sales activity, and track customer data using CRM tools
- Send proposals and quotes of specific solutions to gain new customers, up-sell, and cross-sell into existing accounts
- Keep an up-to-date knowledge of the industry and Red Hat's competitive position
- Establish outstanding working relationship with partners and clients
Required Skills
- Demonstrated success in a similar technology or software sales position with a record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Understanding of complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing
- Motivated and results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on delivering high quality service to our customers
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers through trust and credibility
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a matrixed, multinational IT organization is a plus
