Inventory Finance Analyst at Ford Middle East & Africa

Job description

The primary accountabilities of this role are to support management with the analytical requirements relating to South Africa Inventory and the Middle East & Africa consolidation on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring financial controls are implemented and maintained over Ford’s accounting and financial procedures. The analyst will work to produce consolidated Business Planning Reports and support financial reports and statements that comply with Ford financial standards for each legal entity.

Position Details:

• Coordinate Financial Reporting for MEA Skill team to support MPL and Manufacturing operations as a business partner.
• Calculate and facilitate functional input to support the budget, business plan, and forecast developments.
• Prepare and co-ordinate MEA inventory issue-to-issue, quarter-over-quarter, budget and year-over-year performance to support analytical requirements and senior management reviews.
• Validate the quality of source data input from functions and ensure financials are aligned with business physicals.
• Must be able to interpret and explain physical drivers of absolute costs and variances to targets.
• Conduct discussions with markets and cross-functional departments to ensure alignment with budget/business plan targets
• Prepare presentations for MEA & Corporate management reviews as and when required
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as they are required
• Continuously explore opportunities to improve inventory and cash flow metrics. Track and follow up on open assignments / Inventory Roadmaps.
• Identify and implement forecast process improvements to drive accuracy and process robustness.
• Supports the coordination of the financial planning and analysis systems as required on a monthly basis
• Cross Functional alignment to support all MEA inventory reporting
• Work closely with Manufacturing and MS&S leadership to develop materials to support inventory SAR and BPR forums
• Review MCRP for FMCSA Finance processes and coordinate MCRP completion for MPL areas
• Drive efforts to implement Material Planning & Logistics OICs in time
• Provide internal control metrics status update for the Middle East & Africa major comments SAR and MEA audit committee

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Accurate and timely reporting to MEA management and Corporate on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Successful manage ad hoc tasks and meet tight deadlines (ad-hoc reporting included)
• Prepare High-Quality presentations and explanations adhering to Ford standards
• Meeting annual Profit & Revenue targets as per the Budget performance metrics set
• Schedule, lead and coordinate meetings and discussions to advance inventory roadmaps and ad hoc projects

Qualification & Experience:

• University Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 5 years experience in Finance/Accounting
• Automotive experience would be beneficial
