Job description

We are currently looking for a skilled and dynamic Technical Sales Consultant to join our sales department. Due to the nature of this position, you will mostly deal with exsiting clients who require hardware, software and IT services.

You must have a solid working history of technical sales in order to be familar with hardware/software requirements for clients in the SME sector (Computers, Servers, Networking).

In addition, you will require good telephone and email etiquette and you should have extensive client relations experience in order to maintain a profressional level of support and communication.

While you will integrate with other departments and business functions, you will be reporting to and working with the sales manager in order to achieve targets.

Salary range – R10 000 – R12 000 PLUS Commision depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

• Ideally you will have a marketting degree or diploma.
• Working history of using Pastel / Quickbooks for building quotes and invoices.
• Familiar with the supplier process, quoting clients and building proposals.
• Solid understanding of Desktop and Laptop hardware specifications.
• Solid understanding of Apple MAC computers and devices.
• Extensive technical sales experience with networking and WiFi devices, inluduing switches, routers, firewalls and access points.
• A good understnading of Microsoft licensing for desktops, servers, Exchange, SQL etc.
• Server & Storage hardware knowledge is an advantage including RAID, NAS, DAS and SAN.
• Working history quoting on services like Anti-Virus and Mimecast via portals.
