Power Africa Energy Transaction Advisors at Tetra Tech

Tetra Tech, ES Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech dedicated to international development, is recruiting for local Energy Transaction Advisors for the USAID Power Africa project in the following countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, and Senegal.

Responsibilities Include

• Monitor, and support specific Power Africa Transactions and Power Africa Partner Transactions and their progress toward reaching financial close.
• Assist the Country Transaction Advisor as may be required, including attendance at meetings, and follow-up actions with transaction sponsors/developers/financiers as may be required.
• Identify, and report on obstacles being encountered by transactions and remedial actions being taken.
• Update the PATT database periodically as related to transactions being monitored.
• Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports as may be required.
• Complete special reports on specific transactions as requested by the Country Transaction Advisor, and/or senior management.
• Perform other duties as may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, economics, law, or a related field required; Advanced degree preferred, especially MBA or JD.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with electricity, gas, other heavy infrastructure transaction advisory, or related experience is required.
• Prior experience with project finance and energy sector transactions preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of critical issues related to renewable energy development.
• Good understanding of the key issues and stakeholders involved in energy project development is preferred.
• Experience with international donors and financial institutions (i.e. USAID, MCC, World Bank, AfDB, AFD) is preferred.
• French fluency is required for Francophone countries (e.g. Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire)
• English fluency is required for all locations.
