Job description

A vacancy is available for a creative, innovative, analytical and experienced UX designer to join this dynamic company and to take responsibility for the full design process of web-based, desktop, software and mobile business applications, including user experience and user interface design.

The User Experience Designer contributes to the organisational goals by helping elevate the quality of digital products through research, testing, planning and iteration. Translating high-level requirements into interactive designs, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in interaction design, user interface design, and user experience research
• Demonstrated set skill in design, development and research
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including business development, product management, marketing and testing
• Strong ability to create information architecture diagrams, user experience workflow diagrams, wireframes, proof-of-concepts and interactive prototypes
• Familiarity with user interface guidelines and best practices for major platforms (iOS, Android, web) and an understanding of the limitations and trade-offs of using various development technologies and standards (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Dojo Toolkit etc.)
• Ability to create pixel-level mock-ups and/or clickable prototypes based on an existing style guide, using tools such as Pencil, Visio, Balsamiq, Fireworks or Photoshop
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team, to listen effectively, to respect others’ perspectives and contributions and to offer and accept feedback openly
• Outstanding verbal and written presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to quickly adapt the content to the audience
• Organised, able to think beyond what is asked for, and able to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, often evolving environment.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• 3 years’ + experience in UX / UI Design or similar (Essential) * Without Education, 5 years’ experience in Web design (Essential) with experience in Graphic Design (Desirable) (as shown in a digital portfolio or with links to developed websites)
• Experience with ux design for complex workflows and/or for technical end users
• Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed

The successful candidate will form part of multiple projects as the user experience lead and must be able to communicate the importance of design on solutions and provide measurable benefits to the team. The candidate must be an evangelist for the power of modern, fluid user experience and design. This opportunity will entail developing innovative software products and services that will be sold on a local and global scale.
