Job description

We are looking for an experience District Manager to lead our retail sales teams in the Gauteng Area. You’ll be responsible for our retail store staff and you’ll work closely with other senior managers and department managers to maximise store productivity and profitability. The role of the position would primarily be:

• Maximising sales and profitability
• Providing your team with a stimulating and supportive environment
• Maintaining and increasing standards of customer service
• Driving team performance
• Controlling the training and development of your staff
• Disciplinary action and CCMA
• Recruitment and performance monitoring
• Traveling between stores in Gauteng area (own vehicle essential)
• If you’re a people’s person, this is ideal for you as we require a great communicator with a flair for customer service and sales. Excellent time management is required.

Great leadership skills are also a requirement as you’ll need to be able to inspire and motivate a large team of sales staff. Other experience and skills that will be to your advantage are:

• Minimum 3 years relative experience as an Area/District Manager in wholesale and retail sector
• Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• The ability to work under pressure
• Confidence, drive and enthusiasm
• Decision-making ability and a sense of responsibility
• Planning and organisational skills
• Commercial acumen
